Childhood Photos

My mom recently went through our old family computer and shared some photos with me. As I looked through them, I chose the ones that I felt best captured the essence of my childhood self, reflecting qualities in my style and personality that have carried into adulthood. While there were many other photos I cherished, these particular ones stood out. I would describe my childhood as something out of a fairy tale. I was fortunate to grow up in a beautiful home with two wonderful parents who instilled in me a strong foundation of values and knowledge, shaping the person I am today.

What a wonderful reflection and acknowledgment of blessings from God…loving parents, a nourishing home environment, and opportunities to pursue personal passions. I laughed out loud seeing fun pictures of Max (your dog).
Our personal photos are priceless and useful for focusing on cherished memories to discern self identity and remembering loved ones. I recently attended a lecture and the speaker used the following quote from William Faulkner, “The past is never dead. It’s not even past.” Our past continues to impact our present and future. It’s healthy to REFLECT as we continue to develop and grow. I absolutely LOVE watching you as a child, teenager and young adult. Your continuous search for your authentic self is inspiring and heartwarming.
As a child, I remember you being very affectionate (lots of hugs and kisses), inquisitive, playful, and honest about your feelings. Today, I recognize similar traits manifested in different ways. Words will never fully express my gratitude and love for you. Thanks for having the courage to share! ❤️
