After visiting Tatiana’s Pizza on Wednesday, I decided to return for another slice of their carrot cake. I skipped the pizza since I’d be eating at work later, but I had room for a sweet treat. After enjoying the carrot cake, I found myself craving a crepe. I asked the bakery next door if they sold crepes, but they didn’t, so I used MapQuest to find the nearest crepe spot. To my surprise, just 0.6 miles away was Crepeaway! I walked over and ordered a banana, Nutella, and powdered sugar crepe. They didn’t have whipped cream, but the crepe was still fantastic. While eating, I realized I should have ordered the “Angle” (a strawberry and banana crepe), but honestly, my choice was amazing. Just like when I went to Tatiana’s for the first time, I started eating before remembering to take a picture, and by the time I thought of it, my plate was empty. This might be the first dedicated crepe restaurant I’ve been to since visiting Paris and Limoges in 5th and 8th grade. Back in North Carolina, I don’t recall seeing any restaurants focused solely on crepes, so I was shocked to discover one less than a mile from me. The crepe was huge and amazing, you could easily split one with someone and just as easily eat it all like I did. I’m planning to ask my mom to go with me today so she can try the crepes too. If we do, I’ll be sure to upload a picture this time. Crepeaway: delicious crepes, highly recommended!
